President: Olivia Ruppert
Olivia Ruppert is a junior studying physiology and bioethics. She hopes to pursue a career in osteopathic medicine and research after graduation. She is currently volunteering with a handful of local service projects and working with Young Life ministries here in the Greater Lansing area. She joined Rotaract to join in on doing good in her immediate community and helping others internationally, as well. In her free time, you can find her outside hammocking and exploring, or playing the piano.
Vice President: Megan Vratsinas
Megan Vratsinas is a junior pursuing a degree in Advertising Creative (copywriting). She is spending her 2018 summer semester studying in Rome and traveling around the world. She originally got involved in Rotary by going to Ann Arbor Rotary International meetings when she was younger. She decided to join MSU Rotaract to become more involved in the East Lansing/MSU community and help out people all around the world. She hopes to become involved with Rotary International wherever she ends up after graduation.
chief of staff: Sean Hyslop
Sean is a junior studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently, he is a research assistant in the Amalfitano lab and hopes to attend either graduate or med school (or both through an Md/PhD program!). Sean joined Rotaract after having an incredible experience as Interact president in high school working with Rotary to serve his community and the world.
vp of operations and professional development: Jack Connoly
Jack Connolly is a sophomore majoring in business with a minor in entrepreneurship. He hopes to pursue a career in Supply Chain Management in the future. He became involved with MSU Rotaract recently and looks at it as an opportunity to help the community and develop valuable leadership skills that will help him later on in his career.
VP of International Service and Outreach: Jordan Lee
Jordan is a senior studying Environmental Studies and Sustainability. She plans to pursue a career in sustainable development, drawn from working with Kiwanis in high school and spending time working with nonprofits in Detroit. This summer, she plans to work at her hometown zoo as a conservation education intern. As an Idaho native, she spends her free time exploring Michigan and volunteering with a Lansing hospice.
VP of Marketing: Genevieve stjean
Genevieve is a junior studying Advertising with minors in Public Relations and Spanish. She is spending the summer in Spain to become fluent in the language and delve into the culture. She was involved in Interact in high school and wanted to continue that positive to have an outlet to make a positive impact on the community in college.
vp of finance: megan ayres
Megan Ayres is a sophomore studying Global and International Development with a minor in Environmental Sustainability. She became involved with Rotary as the president of her Interact Club in high school. She continued with Rotary as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Poland during 2015-2016. She is the past and present VP of Finance. In her free time, you can find her at the golf course or out planning where to travel to next!
VP of finance: lauren miller
Lauren Miller is a junior majoring in Neuroscience & Human Biology and minoring in Bioethics, Humanities, and Society. After graduation, she hopes to pursue medical school and join Doctors Without Borders. She enjoys volunteering at local hospitals and spending time in northern Michigan. Lauren joined Rotaract to meet more Rotarians, to get involved in the surrounding communities, and to help with service projects abroad!
VP of fundraising: Riley Reed
Riley is a junior studying Neuroscience. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine as a pediatric neurologist in underserved and underrepresented areas. Riley joined Rotaract to be more involved in the surrounding communities here at Michigan State. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the Spartans and trying new restaurants in Downtown Detroit!
secretary: Sonia Khalid
Sonia is a junior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Spanish. She hopes to pursue a research career within the field of cellular and developmental neuroscience and neuropharmacology. Currently, she is part of a research team writing a grant proposal to the National Institute of Drug Abuse about racial and ethnic minority health disparities, and assists in organizing an American Psychological Association summer workshop. In her free time, Sonia enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading, and photography. She joined Rotaract to make an impact locally and abroad, and aims to continue working with Rotary International in the future.
secretary: Andrina Ajo
Andrina is a sophomore studying Neuroscience. Her goal is to pursue a career in the medical field. She iscurrently volunteering at Sparrow hospital and The Refugee Development center. She decided to join Rotaract to become more involved and help leave a positive impact on her community.
Jay is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Cognitive Science. He hopes to attend med school in the coming years to pursue his goal of becoming a neurosurgeon. Jay joined Rotaract Club to make a positive impact in the community and around the world. In his free time, he would be reading, biking, or exploring the world around him.
